Ve dnech 22. – 26. června 2020 se bude v konferenčních prostorách Mendelovy univerzity v Brně konat mezinárodní konference 6th Forum Carpaticum – Linking the Environmental, Political and Societal Aspects for Carpathian Sustainability, jejíž organizaci zastřešuje Ústav výzkumu globální změny AV ČR (CzechGlobe).
Forum Carpaticum je otevřené setkání iniciativy Věda pro Karpaty (S4C), která spojuje vědce ze střední a Východní Evropy, definuje výzkumné priority pro tento region, nabízí řešení aplikovatelná v politikách regionu a rozvíjí mezinárodní spolupráci s partnery mimo „karpatský region“.
Konference se bude věnovat výzkumu vlivu změny klimatu, ochraně přírody, udržitelnému využívání přírodních zdrojů, interakci člověka a životního prostředí a také vzdělávání pro udržitelný rozvoj.

On 22 – 26 June 2020, Global Change Research Institute CAS (CzechGlobe) organizes the international conference 6th Forum Carpaticum – Linking the Environmental, Political and Societal Aspects for Carpathian Sustainability, which will be held in the conference premises of Mendel University in Brno. Forum Carpaticum is an open meeting of the Science for the Carpathians initiative (S4C), which brings together scientists mostly from Central and Eastern Europe, defines research priorities for the region, offers solutions applicable to regional policies and develops international cooperation with partners outside the “Carpathian region”.
The conference will focus on research of climate change impacts, nature conservation, sustainable use of natural resources, human and environmental interaction as well as education for sustainable development.
